Hostel living is a great way for adults to travel, especially if they’re looking for an inexpensive place to stay in Tamarindo. The common areas include a large dining hall, a kitchen, several villas, domes, tents, and/or tipi’s . Hostel living is one of the best things about staying at Dreamsea Costa Rica’s surf and yoga camp. Guests can either participate in outdoor activities with other campers or relax in their individual bungalows. Both options are great; however, having the ability to relax in your bungalow instead of on a cot and/or couch at your own home provides greater comfort in our opinion. Some villas, domes, tents, and tipi’s are rather spacious, which makes it easy to host friends or family for a day trip. Each hostel includes a bed, fresh air, and room for your belongings and surfboards.
Tamarindo is a cool oceanfront town popular with surfers, vegetarians, and nature enthusiasts. It’s also close enough to Jaco Town that non-surfers can visit the famous Jaco Beach if they wish. Nearby attractions include Manuel Antonio National Park, sustainable beachfront houses, and cafés along Playa Espadilla (where Tamarindo begins) and Playa Negra (Tamarindo’s main beach). There are also many great restaurants and shops in the town center.
